This week has FLOWN by! It's been really good. I am entering into week 7 here at YWAM island breeze! So a little update...well I joined the Asia team and was really looking forward to going to India and China for a few months, but then the other day one of my leaders, Simon, met with me and another girl (Brittanie) and he told us that he had a dream that both of us were being called to the pacific islands. Well this was really confusing to both of us and so we have been praying about it a lot and we both just are really confused now! So continue to keep us in your prayers! Anyhow, we have had this activity this whole week callled "angels and mortals" and your secret angel pretty much just gives you different things to encourage you throughout the week. My angel gave me candy!! wahoo!! and a couple verses. It's been fun trying to guess who has who. Lectures this week were about the Holy Spirit and having a clear conscience. We did this whole time of confession both outward with everyone there and just alone. It was really good to see what God has done with people who have such a bad past and the transformation that comes with salvation. Well I got a BEAUTIFUL picture of Leah in her soon to be wedding gown! Hmm..last week we went into the city (about 7 of us total) and I bought tons of souvenirs for people! If you have any requests of what you'd like me to bring back let me know! :0) but keep in mind that I am a little short on $! So YWAM is so awesome and I really miss home a lot but I am so glad I'm here. I don't feel like I'm this awesome spiritual leader now that I'm here, but I really am growing a lot. I guess I had the wrong idea about what it would be like...I assumed that I would be pretty much a pastor's wife by the time I got back..but I'm still the same old Alice...just growing a lot too! this is a picture of me with brittanie

outreach location

hey! Not much time to write, just thought I'd let everyone know that we have decided on two different outreach locations. Please pray for me as I seek God on this decision! One location is Asia (India and China specifically) and the other is the Pacific Islands (Samoa and Taihiti via New Zealand). If anyone has any advice or wants to tell me where you think God is calling me feel free to let me know! LOVE you all! will write more later!

hello! well i can't write much now, but I'll give the short story of this past week's adventures! WEll first of all, it was great..lectures were awesome and God is awesome. I have been learning so much and getting to use what I learn while I'm here. It's challenging to be living with 11 other girls in one cabin but God has given me so much grace to be patient! Well last week starting Thursday was pretty tough. We had morning activities at 6am and we ran a relay-race! Well I sprinted to Kevin and reached out to touch him when I was done and so he took off and I fell down HARD on the gravel. I got really scraped up all over my legs arms hands and side. I'm okay now though. The next day I was walking back from lunch and somehow a bee got stuck under my flip flop and so I got a really bad sting on my toe. Then to top it off I was going to supper that evening and I saw a snake! not just ANY snake...a brown snake! (2nd deadliest so I've heard) wow...it was pretty scary! well that was an eventful weekend but we had some good times too..I'll post more later!

Sunday..best day so far!

wow, i really hope this picture works. well we have been having a BLAST and I finally really feel like I'm in aus. yesterday we went to Fengal (a beach about an hour away from here, past the gold coast). It was by far the most amazing place I've ever been! God is such an amazing creative God to form the rocks and waves so perfectly. The beach was not commercialized at all so it was pretty much a jungle around there. We got to swim in the ocean (no great whites as far as we knew!) and the waves were tremendous. There were a lot of surfers there that day, and they said the waves were pretty flat...I was shocked that those huge waves were considered small! my friend Brittany (from Colorado) and I got buried in the sand, and I'll try to get some of those pictures on here. It was really fun. Well we packed up and headed over to Surfer's Paradise (abt. a 45 minute drive from Fengal) and it was very cool as well...but extreme opposites! This was a huge city...pretty much all hotels and condos and shops etc. Tons of people were there...we went at around 6 so we didn't get a chance to swim there. I definitely prefer the quiet non-commercial beaches over the noisy city beach...but both have advantages! Well after a much needed burger at Hungry Jack's (Aussie version of Burger King, even owned by BK) we headed back to base. It was a really fun weekend!
